Product Manager (South Yorkshire or Home Based)

Our client, a market leader and major global business employing over 10,000 people worldwide and supported by 12 production sites globally, are seeking to recruit a Product Manager (climate controls).

Key responsibilities:

To create strong sustainable marketing & sales campaigns for the product range.

To provide specialist technical support and application advice to customers.

To provide liaison between the UK and the global product management & development teams.

To undertake and track competitor and market analysis, trends and research.

To provide training and support collateral in order to make the sales teams self-sufficient.

To be the UK no. 1 authority on climate control products.

To be the ‘Champion’ for our client’s climate control product range.

To grow the market share of the product range in accordance with the company’s targets.

Skills and expertise:


HNC/HND or Degree qualified in a suitable engineering discipline.

Experience in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and/or refrigeration.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial and/or marketing environment.

Strong mathematical competence.


Experience in industrial or commercial refrigeration applications.

Experience in creating sales and marketing campaigns/plans.

Experience in electrical engineering, industrial automation and control.

Knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and associated processes.

Knowledge of equipment enclosures.


The ability to understand complex issues and translate into compelling presentations.

The natural ability to present to groups of people, with an engaging style.

Creative thinker, an ‘ideas’ person, bold and imaginative.

A ‘follow it through’ style of project ownership and delivery.

Naturally passionate about engineering.

Reports to: Sales Director - Industrial

Location: South Yorkshire or working from a home office

Salary range: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience & qualifications) 

Package: Including commission 20%, Contributory Pension to 5%,
