Outreach Support Worker (Plymouth)
Our client is a not for profit organisation and are looking to recruit a number of outreach support workers to join their expanding organisation. You will be aiding in maximising independence by supporting clients with mental health, learning disability or vulnerable persons and supporting them to live fulfilled and independent lives.
You will need to have some experience, either paid or voluntary, of working with vulnerable persons with support needs; be able to promote and encourage independence and personal responsibility; understand the issues involved when working with vulnerable people; empowerment and promoting individuals’ right, choice and control.
It is essential that you have a valid driving licence with your own car, that is available for work, and a good command of English.
Location: Plymouth and other opportunities within East Cornwall and South Devon.
Hours: 30 per week, on a flexible basis, including bank holidays and weekends on a rota basis.
Salary: £National Living Wage, plus mileage allowance.
Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays.
A good induction programme is given as well as other training.
