1 JOB DESCRIPTION
1.1 JOB TITLE Bar Person
1.2 SALARY: £7.20 per hour
1.3 HOURS: 0 – 40 per weekas required, to include some weekends, Bank Holidays and evenings
1.4 RESPONSIBLE TO: Hospitality and Events Manager
1.5 LOCATION: Lakeside, Roadford Lake, nr Okehampton
2 OVERALL PURPOSE
2.1 Run an efficient bar, serving customers in a fast, professional and courteous manner, while ensuring all licencing laws are adhered to. Ensuring that standards and hygiene of the bar and public areas are maintained to a degree of excellence.
3 KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Ensure the customer receives a high standard of customer service.
3.2 Serve drinks and ensure all licensing laws such as no service to under 18’s are maintained at all times
3.3 Keep the bar cellar and public areas clean and tidy before, during and after opening hours.
3.4 Undertake cleaning duties as required, clearing function room as specified at the end of functions
3.5 Operating a till and handling money in accordance with Trust procedures
3.6 Maintain stock levels and rotation behind bars and storage areas.
3.7 Act as an information point for customers
3.8 Record wastage in line with procedures and dispose of rubbish in line with onsite recycling initiatives
3.9 On occasions act as key holder take responsibility for security of the premises.
3.10 Ensure all Trust and statutory regulations regarding Health & Safety are adhered to.
3.11 Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Trust.

4.3 Smart personal appearance and professional image.
4.4 Previous experience of bar work
Due to the location, you will need transport to get to the venue.
