Marketing Coordinator (Plymouth)

Our client is seeking a marketing coordinator to support the Marketing Manager with direct mail; email marketing; social media; PA/administration; research; copywriting and assisting with developing new marketing materials.

You will need to have experience of copywriting, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and social media will be an advantage.  Your duties will include the following:-


  • Writing copy for marketing letters
  • Liaising with our mailing house to co-ordinate and fulfil mailings
  • Interrogating our database to compile Microsoft Excel mailing lists
  • Liaising with staff to collate the content required for our various email marketing campaigns
  • Scheduling and creating email campaigns (using existing template designs) on a weekly basis to promote company services
  • Putting together ad-hoc email marketing campaigns (using existing template designs) to promote our clients various services
  • Producing regular email newsletters for various client services
  • Working with the Marketing Manager to raise their profile on social media through production of engaging and relevant content
  • Maintaining all aspects of company profiles on various social media platforms
  • Pro-actively researching and creating content for social media
  • Using Hootsuite to monitor social media activity
  • Posting new and relevant content onto our LinkedIn, Twitter, Periscope and YouTube accounts
  • Facilitating an internal social media training programme
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager with the development of new marketing literature and collateral
  • Writing copy for marketing materials
  • Proof-reading all marketing literature prior to sign-off
  • Co-ordinating design changes with our graphic design team (based on feedback from the Marketing Manager)
  • Personal Assistant / General Marketing Administration Duties
    • Producing regular reports for the Marketing Manager covering various business areas
    • Posting job adverts on various university jobs boards to promote our graduate recruitment programme
    • Liaising with advertising partners and providing content where required
    • Stock-taking of marketing literature
    • Circulating new literature to all staff
    • Ordering new marketing collateral
    • Drafting and distributing minutes from meetings and following up on action points
    • Arranging appointments and meetings for the Marketing Manager as required
    • Developing and maintaining appropriate systems and processes to support effective and efficient day-to-day running of the marketing department
    • Supporting the Marketing Manager at trade events and seminars as required
    • Supporting the Marketing Manager with delivering an internal training programme for staff
    • Competitor research
    • Other research projects as required

SALARY: £19,000 pa

HOURS:  Monday to Thursday 9.00 am - 5.30 pm and Friday 9.00 am - 5.00 pm

LOCATION:  Plymouth
